Meet Dr. Collins
After optometry school, he began his professional career at Horner Rausch Optical as an independent optometrist in Antioch, Tennessee. Dr. Collins cofounded a large group of eye clinics with offices in Columbia, Clarksville, Hendersonville, Franklin, Green Hills, and Antioch, Tennessee.
After leaving those clinics in 2015, he opened COLLINS EYE CENTER in Maryland Farms in Brentwood, Tennessee to focus on personalized patient care. Changes in the healthcare delivery system have caused many doctors to focus on volume and moving patients through the office with very little interaction. Dr. Collins believes that the patient comes first and they should be treated like a family member. You can expect no long waits and no 3-4 minute exams. You will have his undivided attention and have your eyecare needs met.
Dr. Collins is a member of the American Optometric Association and a past president of the Middle Tennessee Optometric Society (now known as Middle Tennessee Optometric Physician Society). He is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry (only 22 optometrists in the middle Tennessee area hold this distinction). He is certified by the Tennessee Board of Optometry in therapeutics and injectables. Dr. Collins is the first and only optometrist or ophthalmologist in Tennessee and one of only a few doctors in the world to provide NeuroLenses for the relief of headaches, eye strain, neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, motion sickness and digital vision syndrome.
Dr. Collins enjoys flyfishing, cooking, grilling, travel and fitness. He is married and has two children in their twenties.
